iPod speakers?

Well, the speaker/headphone input on my laptop is fucked so all i've had to use to listen to music other than headphones with my iPod is my shitty built in laptop speakers, i'm looking to get myself some iPod speakers that do not require to be plugged into a computer, can anybody recommend some, or a place to find some decent ones? If anybody has iPod speakers, do yours have a lot of bass, subwoofers..? How good are they, would you recommend them? I'm from England, so if you're going to suggest instore items, make sure the store is actually in the UK :P

Oh and my price range uhm, idk anything up to around £150 I guess?

theres many types of ipod "docking stations" depending on the make i assume most have a gd quality of sound, mine was like £35 and is just right.
