Doing this will give you a warning if you're training defence, which could prevent you from leveling up.

Go to your skills tab, right click defence, click Set XP Target, and type in 1 xp over your current defence xp, like this

If you accidentally get 1 def xp, a warning will pop up in your chat box, so hopefully you'll stop yourself before leveling.

You need to hit a 180 or so to get 2 defence.
