Defence Update

I don't know if this has being posted before or not.

Theres a new defence update for december "Damage Soaking" basically armour worn by players will soak up any hit over 200 by 40%

the higher level the armor requires to weild the more "Soak"ability it has. also there are new hit splats showing the type of damage being inflicted on you ie. your being hybridded and they switch to ranged. a splat will show up saying "200" with a ranged symbol next to it.

What is your opinion on this new update which could potentially ruin pures, as jagex said pures were a mistake in the combat triangle!

MAge/range tab may show up (according to op) so switch to range pray and wack on ranger armour

I'm honestly scared for this update. It's really going to be hard for pures to stand a chance against mains/tanks is what I get from this. After a while people will all just all get mains and no one will ever get kills.

1 thing about pures we risk lesser than mains and if we're a good pker. mains have low hp that is easily k0'ed. :)

Hmm. Wont effect pures really. Most pures do Pure Vs Pure hybridding anyways. It will rarely be effect pures. However, high level pures (85+cmbt) aren't gonna have too much joy...

I think they did it to try and stop all the overpowered weapons + turmoil hitting through 99 Def like it was 40.
