Vlooieneuker Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 seeing recent pk drops i noticed more money is created. every artefact you sell creates money and it seems quite a lot in p2p. before the main money'creators' in rs were killing monsters and picking up the gp or alching items. selling these new pvp drops to the npc brings new money in the game which will probably make alot of pures rich. good thing right? however you wont be the only one getting more money. alot of other players will also and more and more people will be able to afford cool stuff like rares, dclaws, godswords, etc. this will most likely result in a price inflation (like rsc -> rs2). in rsc it was hard to create gp in the game. in rs2 everything became so fast that money was made at least 10 times faster. it resulted in rares reaching such ridiculously high prices. i can be wrong with all this but if you have alot of money i think it would be wise to invest in a rare or two :p like masks/santa's. PS: WAR TODAY@@@@@
Aaron' Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 I agree with this, I'm one of the many gaining EP and then 26k'ing a friend for money. I am averaging 1.2m+/hr, which I think is great. I'm currently saving for an AGS at the moment, and I'm sure many others have high price item goals to. Maybe Jagex will find a way to stop this from happening?
Luke Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 I'd like to see the economy back to where it was a while ago, where no barrow items were under 1m. I don't know why, I just like the way it used to be better, and hopefully prices are driven up, as supply of items is mostly down. Most items have gone up a significant percentage lately, which is nice, WAR TODAY!
Beastdefire Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 While huge amounts of money are created, huge amounts are also lost. Though I agree that inflation has always been a part of RS, people lose AGSes, D Claws, and other valuable things pretty often and they just disappear. Also, all buyable skills pretty much make money vanish (other than alching).
P4|Pink Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Look at the Kill - Drop ratio. Although your getting artefacts. Your missing out of full 3rd age for example. For for what is made, usually double will be lost.
Doyle Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Maybe you're smart enough to pull this shit-ass economy out of the tubes...VLOOIE FOR HEAD OF THE SEC! SEC = Security & Exchange Commissions.
Dead Eye Xps Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 rs economy has always been effed up, always will be
HADUKEN Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Dclaws are on the rise again.. Wonder where they'll stop this time.
x itsonme x Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 yeh but i made 50m since update so im not complaining
HADUKEN Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 yeh but i made 50m since update so im not complaining Epic sig. LOL.
Jake` Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Wow, I didn't think about this at all. You have a point.
Tap U Hard Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 well, when you kill people they usally on average are risking near as much as your drop (thinking back to al lthose itmes oyu would get tuna for a 3M kill), plus the removed other high drops like dfs and what not that potentially trumpted the drop field forcintieh rg values down, but now they are bak noc the rise and replaced by the cash artifacts, so i dont think it will change much
O Ce An O Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Everything is going up, seems it's getting better. Kwl.
Jesus Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 The economy will never be stable, its just something were going to have to accept and live with.
mr d stroy Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 However, when people die you only get some of their stuff sometimes, so items are lost too o.O
thus_sorrow Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Take into account ,what is lost, isn't being accounted for. E.g. You lost AGS in a fight, chances are MAYBE your opponent got at the max a Zaros Statue, or DFS, that's till 30m lost and will never be brought back into the RS economy
sdsdsd Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 In my opinion the RuneScape Economy will soon go insane for godswords, Claws, Runes ect. A quick solution to this problem would be to make artifacts be able to be exchanged for pking supplies that couldn't be traded (Like potions and food, no weapons.)
Andrew- Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 people also loose a lot to the system, when someone dies in max mage ags and dfs wheres the money go? back into the game.. not gonna change prices as much as u think the drops will be seriously nerfed by the time that happens. b sides merchants control the economy even more for it to be effected by drops anyway.
