why do my avi clips have rainbow noise all over them

Are you sure you didn't click any effects by mistake?

Try another version of Vegas

Try opening them in another movie making program

i used camtasia to record, and when i open the clips in DivX or Windows Media Player theyre perfectly fine

ive also tried it on sony vegas 9, same problem

should i convert them from avi to wmv? because the quality could be reduced

It might just be the way that the program is reading the clips; make a video out of one of the clips doing the ranibow noise shit and see if the noise transfers over to a final product. If not, change to .wmv; it might be a bit less quality but if they're working then there isn't really a problem
