Just got it, tried some stuff out, from tutorials, and adding some things from my own in it.

CC please, and btw if u got a site with like nice tutorials, or even instructions for basic things, feel free to add. Gamerenders was dead for me, so idk if there are other sites out there with nice tutorials?

Im aiming to make signatures/avatars for Foe, nothing more really, but well just wanna make as best as I can. I have the time, I'll take the time for it to become better, so be as critical as u can, so I can learn from it.

Well here's what I produced last 2 days, bit fucking around with some things I found on youtube (hair colouring, text effects, all kinda things):

I like that first one, but the text is kind of tacky, try lowering the opacity of the gradient overlay, try setting the text layers belnd mode to overlay, hard light, anything that looks nice really, thay'll help it blend with the background more.

For the second one, rather then having the blue wavy thing off by it's own, try maybe position the text over the top, and center it, try to give it more flow.

Third one also looks nice, but personally i'd try adding a colour balance adjustment layer, or just a gradient map over the top to give the blue a variation in hue.

Corey is absolutely amazing at making photoshop tutorials, extremely detailed and easy to follow, teaches alot of keyboard shortcuts and such that you pick up over time. I've watched most of them since page 20 or soemthing, they're really handy tips.

hah Grifte i remember that tutorial. It looks like you've added a red colour overlay on top maybe? Everything has a kind of red outline, which is probably a result of some overlay.

Also maybe try making the grid a little smaller?

1-2 are very nice but id work on the typography (ask robin and conn for help on that part as im crap)

Make the text match the colours in the background>placement aswell

other than that i think they are both beautiful.

3(frost effect) doesn't suit will with the text used>colour. Try using it with a frosty themed stock in the background to emphasize the effect as well.

and i dont no what you did to 4, post original?
