STAKING PURE :)

I used to stake big in the duel arena, mainly range pures and high level mage staking (obs off/on). I made around 1.3B.

I've just came back after learning the duel arena's coming back, and the accounts I used to have I sold and they're probably banned now. I've got one account left which is a pure staker;

70-40-70 however the prayer's fucking 5 after being hacked. Oh well.

My question is; do you think these stakers will still be effective still? Has RS changed too much for these to be effective? Will pures still stupidly be fooled into staking against that account.. Also it's on the hiscores so they can look it up and see 70def/70attack.

I know Berniej is a good staker so his advice would be useful. cheers.  ^_^

Berniej used to mage stake mate but im guessing you wont fool anybody i think people are to scared you will probs only fight people with the same stats as you or better no one stakes without looking each other up.

that's obvious, but that wasn't my question. Yes people look up, people have always looked up and it never stopped me making money in the past.

I'm not going to tell my secret or w/e but they'll have problems checking my name.

( Not hard to find out but ain't gonna lay it out for everybody in here )

I'm pretty sure you can still make money, I mean it's about risk, luck and skill.

If people are confident that they can beat you and the other way around, they'll stake you.

It's all about luck but people don't know how much impact those stats have.

Oh yeah I wonder if you can still safe spot in obstacles man.

Yeh when I used to stake, you could do the old name tricks but now since I've came back (last week) I've checked the names and they are visibly clear to detect. Oh well.

I never knew you personally, but the old fraternity of stakers and I remember people saying FOE had a good staker and I'm pretty damn sure it was you, yeh my plan is to use my 70-40-70 staker to get 100M or so, then make another mage staker and get the bil's rolling in again.

I hope ob safe spots STILL* work, so many times you'd face somebody for quite a decent amount of cash 70M+ and you could red bar them without even taking any damage. Man, I miss those days.

im more of a melee boxer/range stacker or low level mage stacker

But with all the new items its going to be a lot to adapt to. So you have to stay 1 step ahead of the competition.

Yeh I'd x-log, but only against someone who'd done it to me.

I managed to perfect the safe spots with obs on by using a friends private server and constantly duelling mage with obs on... I pretty much became unbeatable, the only time I'd get caught was from having a terrible connection.

I hope there is still ways to name trick, but either way, I've just come back to RS since they removed staking so I really have no clue, I need to re-acquaint myself with RS and get myself up to scratch or I'm never gonna be the staker I once was, haha.

Returning players need to step up the game now,people have perfected wall hugging and hotkeys by l2brid taunts, so ob safing aint as easy. Name look up is still kinda hard, now that "I" and lower case "L" look same, its still possible, just make sure you adventure log is "off" as well now. 70 40 70 could work even nowadays, depending on if people prefer old style staking. There are more armors and weapons out, some with unique abilities not heard of in old RS, so research a bit before putting the work in , and decide what is best nowadays.
