"If Jagex bans any account as a result of your breach of the Rules of RuneScape and you have exhausted the Offence Appeals Process, Jagex may, in its absolute discretion, give you an opportunity to make a fixed payment to reinstate the account."

ofc

jagex brang wildy back for money

now this.

next we'll be paying to hop worlds...

Please explain this for dummies like me :o

this is actually a very good idea.  Get banned and pay money for the acc back, teaches the player not to break rules, and jagex gets paid.  No real down side for them.

Until they start randomly banning people.

they'll make bank :p

If you read, it says only if you've gone beyond appealing... It's hardly oppressive :p

How much money ... that is the million dollar question.

If I need to pay like $20 for my account, then sure why not.

I actually do not think this is a smart move for Jagex. Its a good thing for those of you that got banned and can't appeal though. The conflict I'm having is a moral issue.

Moral issue lol? they are init to winit and by winit i mean make money

You have to remember they are a company and therefore they are out to make money

Gl getting accepted appeals now, honestly.

Sorry I mistyped that. The word I meant to use wasn't moral. What I meant was that.. I don't know the word I'm looking for but I want to say bad business practice/ethics. I thought about it this way, if money can get your account unbanned(after you botted/scammed/glitched/humped/raped/whatever just fill in something), what can't money do? Reset stats? It seems like it encourages cheating. This is all theoretical of course, based off the sentence the OP posted.

I understand what your saying infact i agree with it, however you have to remember its their game and they can control what they want to do with (which ofcoarse is going to be whatever earns them the most money)

FUCK YEA TIEM TO BUY MY 138 WITH 1.2B BANK

THANKS JAGEX

OMFG, ORIGINAL BLITZY

Posted

Good idea. That would mean i can prehaps get all my pures back!!!!!! CMON JAGEX GIVE ME THE CHANCE.

Posted

well seriously who would do that?

It still says Jagex alter the account and remove all the levels and cash gained. So you're essentially paying to have your shit account back, that was shit without botting. =/

I'd prefer to spend the money on another bot and another account

Posted

Yeah probably wouldnt work like: bott, get banned, buy back with botted money/stats. Imo its shit but sure Jagex makes their money. And why did we have to pay for getting wild back? :s

I've got one account permanently banned, gone beyond appeals. Maybe this is for me? ;3

Will be interesting to see what it will cost

This is basically Jagex giving up on RS.. Expect SpaceScape or whatever the fuck it's called to take over
