I'm currently having a hard time playing runescape due to the massive lag i have. I made a couple stakers and worked on my pure befor this wilderness/free trade update only to find i can't do either of them. I miss the countdown in the dueling arena making staking pointless. And i always lagg out in the wilderness it's bullshit.

I did a few scans and found this out.

So i decided to download "Driver Genius Pro" because i found a torrent i found at Thepiratebay which i could get the updates for free. + there were lots of possitive comments ect. This is what it says.

now what i dont understand is that it says this "

4)copy over the Drivers.dat file to the main install directory

C:\Program Files\Driver-Soft\DriverGenius

I downloaded this from the torrent.

I click on the "Crack" and i get this.

Now when i type in "C:\Program Files\Driver-Soft\DriverGenius" i get this window.

How do i copy over the drivers.dat file to the main install directory?

Because then once i do that i can use the registration key that the torrent has giving me to register and it will be activated properly and i will get the whole thing for free.

sorry im an idiot when it comes to this kind of stuff.

Free 5m in game to the first person who helps me. Send me your acc name.

Thanks :)

you need more RAM bro LOL

get at least 4gb

Posted

You sure thats it? like runescape use to run like a joke about 2 months ago.  4gb of ram seems like way to much for runescape no?

My computer can only handle like 1.2gb of ram max.   :(

Edit:   Gonna stop double posting.

Soap.  I did that a few days ago but it messed everything up. all the colors were off ect. Wavey scrollying/ opening new pages. It made it worse? so i ended up going unstalling the update :s

i guess this computer is about 6 years old. Guess its time to buy a new one.

I'm currently looking for a decent computer hopefully under $900

Go to My computer right click it, go to properties, hardware, device manager, and then into display adapters, seeing as you got and nVidia card, go to their website and click on drivers at the top, should be in downloads section or w/e.

Fill in correct info and dl the right driver, it should install itself.

Then once thats done and it's still not much better, Use CCleaner on your pc, it's free and basically clears unneeded shit from it. I do one every week and i clear 500-1500mbs.

Then lastly DeFrag your computer. This can take a long time depending on how fast your system is but anyways, this will help.

And seeing as your Pc's only on 768Mbs of ram and a single core processor, it will struggle in worlds with many players in it.

Hope this helped.

Free 5m plez??

de frag multiple times and try to stock info on another hard drive rather than your own comp's

ohh sorry, i edited one of my previous posts with a reply to that. I downloaded the specifit driver from the website a couple  days ago and it messed everything up. And i'v defragged my computer countless times. And used the device manager to try and update my drivers it says it can't find anything better. But all these driver scanns say otherwise?

Is a nvidia GeForce 8400 gs graphics card shit to begin with?

Alright, Like i said go to nVidia.com and no an 8400 isnt a really bad card, should be good for rs, but then again ram is pretty low so that will cause choppyness..

Sometimes Device manager updating doesn't work so just google the drivers, but again, go to nvidia and do your graphics drivers, its the best place to start.

Yeah 756MB RAM probably isn't enough, RS uses about 500mb of RAM alone so your computer will run very slowly considering the operating system needs some of it, 4gb is definitely not needed lol, I have 2gb of ram and i can run 3 runescapes[havn't tried more] at once fine.

I have 8GB DDR3 RAM, you jelly?

Na just kidding but in all seriousness you just need more RAM. And I'm sure your computer can handle a 64 bit OS after that

my shitty pc has the 7100 version of that card... and runescape runs perfectly, that torrent you downloaded wasn't necessary since gfx driver updates are always free from their site...

when you start up rs and it starts lagging, check your processes running and see what's taking up a lot of memory... if it shows where ever you're playing runescape on as the highest consuming one then you definitely have a problem with your gfx card.

those specs, including ram, should be more than enough for rs...
