FragD PK Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 great work! a bit blurry but i'm assuming that is the effect you were looking for.
d72 Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Welcome back. I'm not feeling the text; like I know the effect you were trying to accomplish, but I think the bevel comes off a bit too harsh... Also, I think you could've used a more plain font. Other than that there's no real problem with it. :Hi:
Paxman Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Wat Daniel said but i really love those sorts of pictures (: WB buddy, make more vids and i'll love you long time. The only thing that stood out to me is how the text contrasted a bit with the background but thats all, other than that it would look nice if it looked as if it was coming out of the water (: EDIT: Erase the last sentence^ I noticed that the bottom quarter is in the water :L
Smush Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 I'm no artist by any means, but the water looks kinda like white cotton candy .. I don't know if that was the desired result, but nonetheless it's eye catchy.
d72 Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Stock photos of water and streams actually sometimes get that effect; like I went to a cabin in Ohio not too long ago and one of the desk workers did professional photography in her spare time, taking pictures of running streams and such that gave off that effect. Like here's an example; It's weird lol
nate. Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 water is too much.. care to elaborate? It just looks really blurry and looks like it's going 400 mph.
Benny The Leak LMAO Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 yeah water looks funny but i guess if d72 says it can look that way then i wudent wanna argue with d72 c= looks v/nice c=
Devour Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 yeah water looks funny but i guess if d72 says it can look that way then i wudent wanna argue with d72 c= looks v/nice c=
I C0NN0R I Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 The light up the top in the trees looks like you've srt it to hard mix or something :| ALso the grey around the text is too dark, as if there's no light caching the water around the letters.
Paxman Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 @D72 The water is like that because the shutter speed is slow, generally looks great on waterfalls but the concept is that more light gets let through the lens so the camera can capture more movement. I think it looks really nice haha, personal preference.
severed arow Posted February 24, 2011 Author Posted February 24, 2011 aha thanks for the nice comments + yeh watter dig kind of look like "fog" in the stock but i liked it like that i then puppet morphed it a little and changed the layer mode opacity masked it ect and ended up with that effect i liked it its meant to kind of look like it is rapidly being destroyed hence the drained colour and how its out of focus on the bottom part of the stream :P
Dannhyz Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 water looks like fog but that makes it pretty epic.
