First one is better, looks pretty decent, though it is simple, and no-where near near the standard of gfx artist.

Definitely the first, it's just more catchy and eye appealing. The second one looks like a screenie with random brushes, although they both are basically following that guideline :P

1st is better tbph, but I don't like the text, completely ruins the focal and is way too 'out there'

Place more to the side, lower opacity and maybe erase so it looks like it's behind the character.
