1) Copy paste firecape in + Control T = Bad quality

2) The text is very rough edged but I like the glossy type effect you got goin on

Okay, here is what you do.

Step one: Delete GIMP and take a shit on it.

Step two: Torrent Photoshop and crack a serial number on it.

Step three: Go here: http://www.foe-rs.com/forums/index.php?topic=7988.0

If you have any other questions, don't hesitate :nice:

As for what you produced, there's nothing really graphical to give you pointers on... Try and read up on some tutorials and such; they'll help you get on your way :Hi:

I used GIMP for about a year. Sucked horribly but taught me quite a bit. It's best to do what d72 said or look into some GIMP signature/banner tutorials for a start.

I went straight from paint - Photoshop and it wasn't too hard. Just get Photoshop, get some tutorials down and you'll only keep improving.

Good luck

I actually think it's quite effective, if you cleaned it up a bit it'd look great. Just needa fix the text, looks like you hand drew it. And leave the firecape at the original size, make the canvas shorter and it'd make a cool banner sig.

Like dan said Gimp is a heap of shit.
