What's the best ranged 1 item weapon for staking?

I would use morrigans jav's but they are expensive(I think).

Javs are too slow, and knives get the job done but fail against defence.

This is against a pure.

But, the dude won't fight without magic, so I'm not sure what his plan is.  He must want to barrage and farcast?  I have 91 mage but I dunno..  THis stuff scares me

Not sure. If you're range staking, don't stake anyone that toggles mage. Find another person.

I would use morg jav's p++ for a couple hits then use the axes
