Steroids Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 fair play but tbh making things nicer with pretty much the same nutritional values isn't my style when it takes hours to prepare lol, id rather just shove it down and not enjoy it. :)
Ben Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 very nice Moffit, i just wouldnt have patience to make.
Craig Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Might have to make my own protein bars. I mean there like 3 pound each the ones i want to buy :(
Steroids Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Might have to make my own protein bars. I mean there like 3 pound each the ones i want to buy :( protein bars are such a rip off compared to shakes! double price and half as much nutrients usually.
Craig Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 True. Many people just use them instead of carrying a shaker bottle of some protein about. But its most likely easier and cheaper to make your own food, but then theres the time it takes to prepare.
RJC Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 looks delicious, I already make quesadillas for dinner :)
2st0ned Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 For all you people needing calories but have college/uni and need a quick fix make these they're brill: Recipe: 16 ounces Natural peanut butter 8 tablespoons honey six scoops of Optimum Chocolate whey protein powder 1 cup of uncooked oatmeal Mix the pb and honey in a bowl, microwave on full for 80 secs. Add the rest and mix together. Can add raisins/nuts etc to taste. Smooth into 13x9 tray and leave for 20 mins. Cut into 10 to 12 equal bars and wrap and store in fridge. This is a great tasting recipe that I modified from one I found on 'bolex Now here is the breakdown on a batch of the goodies: Protein: 254 grams Carbohydrates: 282 grams Fats: 236 grams This batch gives you a whopping 4268 calories. Thats right, over 4000 Calories and 250+ grams of protein. Can also add half a glass-a glass of hot water to the mixture after nuking it in the microwave if its too crumbly.
Dan| High Rating Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 hey, i make my own protein oat bars i'll try and dig up the recipe, they're really great for when im at school/on the go and cant find a good snack. I think its about 50% protein, 40% carbs and 10 fat. They're imo alot nicer than the ones u can buy and also a hell of a lot cheaper.
Tris Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 I eat a lot of chicken/tuna so I'll hit some of these up.
