I've been varying between Doug's 4 Day Split and another routine I made up myself, and I was wondering what routines and such everyone else does?  Post here if you have a decent one/like to share

most people here won't know what doug's 4 day split contains. :)

but yeh iv been on a varied version of that before. whenever i see ready-made routines such as this one, i always find theres something that i prefer or something that their missing so i rarely follow one 100%.

ever tried the short term mass building routines for certain area's?

If you want a power lifting, and cutting routine for these next couple months, I'm your guy.

Monday - Chest and Tris, Abs then a 10 minute run.

Tuesday - Back and Bis, 10 minute run.

Weds- Shoulders/traps/delts, abs and a 10 minute run.

Thursday - Legs

Friday - Abs then Cardio/ Elliptical at a high intense setting for a mile+, then run for a mile+, then bike for 4+ miles.

Saturday and Sunday can be used for straight arms and cardio for off days or just easy toning days.

You have to do 6 excersizes per body part, and 3-4 sets of 8-12. 8 reps being your max and 12 being a burnout.

Whats with the 10 minute runs?

Surely you should leave a day for carido.

And wheres the rest days? No point doing carido or toning as its a rest day...

the optimum times to do a short amount of cardio are either as soon as you wake up in the morning, or as soon as you get in the gym. low intensity if your concerned about muscle wastage.

Little much there Omni

Remember you body needs more rest than it needs to be in the gym and Like steroids explained, you should run once in the gym (I do a little high intensity to get the blood flowing) or when you wake up as your more allowing  to burning fat with not much for you body to fuel on except running to fat pockets and using them.

I'm going to look around this Muscle & Strength website and possibly look for a couple mass routines.
