Kody Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Nice little forum you guys have going on here. I've read through a lot of shit and here and something I haven't heard much about is water. To put it simply if you lot are being serious about getting bigger you need to try and drink a gallon of water a day. I usually just carry a gallon around with me and will end up drinking well over a gallon a day especially on days I lift.
Tango_Oscar Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Agreed, i carry a litre of water around and aim to drink a litre every few hours (when training ill drink like 3-4 litres)
Steroids Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Yeh needs to be said, pity the amount of water/milk I drink makes me piss 20 times a day.
Smush Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 I always drink plenty of water, but water goes through my body like nothing. Less than an hour I'm pissing clear piss, so the key is to drink plenty of water? All I seem to gain is water weight which is heavy ... but it doesn't retain.
|Roberto Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 +1, at the end of the day my piss is as clear as water, bit annoying but definitely helps
Ben Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 I drink water alot during work, i should drink more when i'm at home on the computer. Gonna start to i think, didn't realise was massivly important combined with gym.
Kody Posted March 25, 2011 Author Posted March 25, 2011 Sounds about right for you walli... lol And yeah to people who are big into lifting its common sense but drinking that much water was never something I used to do.. Many people associate drinking a gallon of water a day to be "water weight".. this will only happen if your eating a poor diet that consists of way to much sodium as that is what actually retains water. Your muscles need saturated to properly grow out.. Not to mention it is essential to help ensure good kidney and liver function if you are stacking multiple proteins with pre workout powders/liquids.
TJ Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Someone once told me Gatorade can suffice, i think i was trolled?
Ollie Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 I drink ~1 litre of water during my workouts 2 Protein shakes a day 2/3 tea's/coffee's a day + usually a milkshake or glass of juice I piss loads though, rofl
