Frankly, I perfer Adobe Fireworks over Photoshop.

It's easiest to work with and pretty much matches up with everything in Photoshop, except for manipulating layers and things is hella easier, which is a biggie for me lol.

In regards to graphics work nothing comes close to Photoshop

Photoshop is the current industry standard for photo editing/manip and all that jaz, it has everything you need.

Are there programs better? I know that if anyone knew you guys would.

If you have no money to buy Photoshop *Cough* You don't know where to download *cough*. I would use GIMP then. It's free and you can edit with it too.

Photoshop is so far the best graphics program out there. Photo-manipulation is a big thing in photoshop. Aside from that, the next best thing in my opinion is Cinema 4D. Gives you an easy way to make realistic scenes and use 3D text.
