Hi guys, i was just wondering some methods to improve my vertical jump, is jumping on the spot good? or anything else? thanks

squats and calf raises assumably.

try doing pliometric exercises, like jumping from a high block then when you hit the ground you jump as fast as you can up again on a different block in front of you.

It's all about explosive exercises, like explosive squats with a lower weight.

The above is what I would assume. You could also sneak up behind a black man and reverse syringe his blood out then inject yourself.

squats and lunges will build your leg strength, in order to be explosive you'll need to do higher intensity exercises like plyo's.. i need to increase my vertical for basketball this fall and lately i've been doing a super set on nearly every exercise. I'll incorporate a calve set after squats, lunges, extensions etc. Also try doing squat jumps, even free weight will get the burn. hope this helped.
