Hi guys, I have just broken up for my Easter holidays and as well as revising for my GCSE exams id like to get fit & put on muscle, if I state my regular diet below, would someone experienced give me some advice, also on what to train ect.

Weight : 57.8 Kg / 127 pounds, 9.1 Stone

Height : 159 cm / 5.2 ft / 62.6 inch

Breakfast - Nothing atm - will start eating fruit since on hols.

Snack - packet of crisps / small chocolate bar.

Lunch - Meat (Chicken, Beef, Lamb) with pasta normally.

Snack - Small piece of flapjack or something.

Dinner - Sausages and pasta - potatoes.

Normally I do press-ups & Pull-ups - Im training to enter an army college next year, and over my 4 wk break will hopefully do 4-8 gym sessions.

Aims - im not really interested in "rock-hard abs" or a six pack, mainly big arms but STRONG too. And for fitness, my cardio is good.

Doesn't take too much experience to see the problems in your diet.

You should take more protein filled snacks. I like protein bars, nuts, string cheese.

It doesn't appear that you have any vegetables in your diet. SALADS.

Also, breakfast is the MOST IMPORTANT meal of the day. Well, equally important at least. Protein shake with some fruit is easy and delicious.

Fish is a superfood. Salmon & tuna are easy to come by. Put em in a sandwich or eat em for dinner.

DRINK WATER. Lots of it.

Thanks, response is appreciated, i dont like the idea of "salad" due to the watery taste of lettuce leaves, but i spose i dont mind carrots, cucumber ect.

going to the supermarket tomorrow to stock up on some fish, ive recently bought some protein shakes -

Thanks - what about workout routines? - focusing on arms, shoulders (upper body)

You don't want to focus on just arms and shoulders, you need to train your back and chest as well, and abs.

You can find plenty of workout routines all over the internet.
