Sextant, Watch & Map

Doing Defender of Varrock and I need the above three.  I was wondering how if there was any other way to get these without getting a coordinate Clue Scroll?

You can make the sextant and watch at someone's workbench in their POH (player-owned house), but you might have to speak to the professor in the observatory first, I'm unsure. In order for the observatory expert to speak to you about the sextant and watch though, you will have to have a coordinate clue first though. I forgot what level workbench you need to make em, but the sextant and watch you can make for sure if you have 3 steel bars and the proper workbench, but it's possible you might only be able to make them if you've once owned them. The chart can only be obtained from finding a clue scroll with coordinates and talking to the observatory expert.

So, to sum it up: Yes, you will need a coordinate clue in order to get a sextant, watch, and chart. They are fairly easy to obtain though, just kill rockcrabs or guards in Ardy/Varrock/Fally and you'll get one eventually.
