so i turn to you

Ok, so, it takes a lot for me to suck up my pride and ask for help, but after years of trial and error and just plain quitting I figured it was time to do something drastic. A whole new life of proper diet and actually treating my body well (no more cigs/weed/or EXCESSIVE drinking) and I figured the best place to turn are to people I talk to almost daily (foe membs).

For starters ill inform you that I played multiple sports in highschool and although I was always known for being a bit on the scrawny side at one point I actually could look in the mirror and didn't hate my body. That is what I want back. After highschool I ended up moving out on my own and struggled to pay rent so a proper diet was out of the question. I ended up going from 185 - 190 to about 165 - 170 in just a year and a half. I've always had trouble putting weight on and keeping it on so that's ones major issue for me.. second is commitment, ill work out 5 - 6 times a week with pretty basic knowledge (back and bi's, chest and tri's) for a month to a month and a half, then just get lazy and stop, RIGHT when I begin to see some results.

Right now im about 175ish and im 6'3.5, so yea pretty skinny. My ultimate goal is to get back up to that 195lbs maybe even go for 200 with a very SMALL amount of body fat.

Right now I have a free gym through my neighborhood, but its pretty tiny, ill write down the few machines they have next time im in there. But for now I was just planning on doing a "prison routine" and start some protein until I get my base muscle back, it honestly shouldn't take long, my bodys always been good about whipping itself back into shape. So basically a lot of crunches, sit ups, and incline/decline pushups.

What im basically curious about is diet, proteins, vitamins, and perhaps supplements further down the road.

my diet can't be something insane that's impossible for a young guy living alone to prepare, and proteins can't be astronomically expensive.

If Roids or anyone here could point me in a good direction to start id be eternally grateful. Im at work now so can't post a pic, but im very serious about this and fully committed this time.

Also please excuse any misspellings/grammatical errors seeing as how im typing this all out on my phone.

Thanks in advance guys

yeh its got just as much to do with diet as it does actually getting down there and training. once you master both of these things properly, you're not far from success.

diet must include vast amounts of protein/complex carbs. gym sessions must be researched and done with appropriate form / weight.

And that's why im here my friend, I assume there are quite a few other people in here that are having the same "under-weight" issues as myself so ill take bits and pieces from their diet and try to apply it to myself as best as possible. My major concern like you said is finding a routine that will work best for me, im also very concerned about form. I really don't wanna get into the gym and Fuck myself up because im lifting incorrectly, that would be my worst nightmare..

So ea when I get home from work ill edit my original post to make a bit more sense, and upload a pic of my body type (as embarrassing as it may be) so you guys can ft a general idea about what im dealing with..

yeah as i said, research each exercise you are unsure of and copy the form. its not how much you lift, its how u lift it.

If you're still struggling to pay for an apartment you really shouldn't use supplements, just a thought. Good luck though :)

So what do you guys think about doing the "prison routing" for a week or two to regain my base muscle, or should I just hit the gym tomorrow?

edit: ok, well, i decided that monday i'm gonna start doing MAD pushups/crunches/sit ups for 2 weeks. i'll take a pic sunday night and save it until after the 2 weeks and post both..

ok bumping:

just ordered cytosport cyto gainer chocolate 3.5lbs

2 shakers (1 was rated 10/10 but its on back-order but i ordered it anyway lol)

opit-men 90 tablets

i figured that a "gainer" and some multi's would be a good start..

anyone wanna let me know if i did anything wrong..?

lololololololololololololololololl no more weed.

nah jk bro, good luck training yourself ;).

i know man, honestly i've already scraped my pipe dry so now i don't even have resin..

i'm starting the prison routine today after i wake up..

so can anyone gimmie a basic diet guide if i want to pack on weight, i mean i'm sure the cyto is gonna help but only to an extent. i don't eat alot of fast food, and typically i try to keep it on the healthier side like chipotle (or fresh-mex burritos packed with meat) or deli sammies.

so in 1 week from today i'll post the pic i'll take in the morning and the pic from next sunday just to compare and see if there are any noticeable differences. i know thats not even near enough time, but remember i said that my muscle memory has ALWAYS been fantastic..

oh and this may sound stupid, but how would i go about checking my body fat %?
