Dungeoneering Familiars?

Is it really worth it to go looking for ingredients for pouches while dungeoneering?  I'm not sure if I should just skip the charms and continue through the dungeon without them, since it takes up inventory space...

Also, I was using a BoB familiar that said it trains Range, but it was hitting the monsters with melee? :o

umm i usually just get charms just for alching

but however i think some high lvl dung summ monsters are decent .
