But the over-used simplistic argument of the giant man just doesn't describe what a god is. I guess even wikipedia could teach you a few things today: God is most often conceived of as the supernatural creator and overseer of the universe. The most common among these include omniscience (infinite knowledge), omnipotence (unlimited power), omnipresence (present everywhere), omnibenevolence (perfect goodness), divine simplicity, and eternal and necessary existence. he's not "in the sky", he's not "giant", he's not "a man". being a man would not make him perfect, and god is supposed to be perfect. I know it's bullshit my point was that the bible is saying shit will happen and it's not happened/happening. The bible has officially failed so why do people still believe !? The stories in the bible aren't meant to be 100% true, for the old testament at least (new testament is supposed to be true...) It's about the life lessons they give etc. I won't explain this once again, there already is a topic where I kept repeating the same thing in 1000 different ways, nobody cared reading. But some people (like you) are constantly attacking religion and the bible... What are you trying to prove? In fact, it seems to me that you are the ones obsessed with god. It doesn't go anywhere. I've been arguing with atheists for as long as I've been on the internet. I've heard better arguments on the side of atheists. In fact, I've never even heard of the man in the sky argument. But, I guess they're finding points of view? I don't want to argue because as pointed above it goes NOWHERE. I just want to throw in my two cents. Let people believe in what they want to believe in. What is so wrong with the Christian message of love? Equality? Charity? Forgiveness? Sympathy? Life? We aren't in the middle ages where people are being burned at the stake for their beliefs. I don't see why atheists insist upon bashing every hint of Christianity or any other religion. Christian charity services are making a positive impact in the world, feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, and giving people hope. Sure, the Church isn't perfect. There have been a lot of mess ups, etc. But overall, how could you possibly put down the actions of charities around the world spreading happiness around? Sure, maybe I don't have the proof you want. I have FAITH. But, if you want to read I suggest you look up the Incorruptibles on Google. You'll be amazed.
