Jef|Ohh Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 Since a few days I got shin splits, on both of my legs .. No more squats, deadlifts , or any other leg exercises :( Anyone got some tips on what I should do or maybe exercises that I can do to not lose to much muscle in my legs?
Octavarium Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 found this while bored as fuck flicking through EVERY channel we have. I found it hilarious and genuinely sat there captivated by this, trying it. fGX72AxnXXQ hi jef <3 edit: this actually isn't very helpful but there is a leg exercise one near the end of the video.
Env Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 I'd just rest it for a few days. As long as you're eating properly you really shouldn't "lose" any muscle.
Abbi pker Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Ice and rest, I got these when I use to do hurdles.
Tom (Rendition) Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Buy some footwear that is approriate for your foot type mate.
Kofte Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 When I was into long distance running before I got shin splints. Whatever you do DO NOT work out your legs with a shin splint, I tried to fight the pain and do squats and I ended up being out longer than I needed. REST REST REST just "neglect" legs until they heal

And @Tom: I did a special foot research thing or w/e it's called where they film you running and analyse what kind of shoe would be best, then they said what would be the best shoe for me for running and that's what i'm currently using.
