Not true. It's been confirmed that goldfish do have memory and can recall that memory to be used later when solving similar puzzles. They've even confirmed it on mythbusters if you watch that.

Some were quite interesting, a lot of them I knew already.

They also have a unique method of using their toxin which is to shoot the barb itself into the bloodstream which slowly releases the venom over a period of time. If you are not in excellent physical condition you will die as there is no antidote, if you are in excellent condition you will endure the most agonising pain of your life that even the max dosage of morphine can't alleviate. They are my favourite animal :)
