Scott|Wth Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 wow, so travlled half way across england yesterday to meet my dad who ive not seen for 9 years since i was 9. i went there angry and wanted to do nothing less than hurt him tbh. i had been to the pub before going to his and was already on quite a few pints :S but when i walked in the door and looked at him i broke down crying and hugged him lol. not cried for years :/so basically my dad who had no clue i was coming had his 18 year old drunk son emotionally scared up and crying inside his house lmao >.< after an hour o so my uncle came and i had already finished a bottle of cider inside my dads and had phoned a few mates. ended up being sick and falling asleep on the bed for about 12 hours straight. cant say i really pulled this of very well haha. but today we went and saw my uncle again and seen pictures of me when i was young and other family members i lost touch with. stayin at my dads again tonight and leaving to go home tomorrowso hmmmm was a strange experiance but im glad i did it. and i plan on visting my dad again in the future and other family members aswell so yeah i really needed to just get this out tbh if anyone read the whole thing feel free to comment and say what you think :) thanks
Gareth l Rare Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Nank wrong with that, dont listen to anyone who says otherwise (even if chris called you an emotional reck) lol  Good your getting in touch with your old man, ive only started recently seeing my old man but oh well somethings take time i guess.
Scott|Wth Posted May 22, 2011 Author Posted May 22, 2011 hehe yeah thanks man. its weird seeing parents after such a long time
Marc|Criti Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 if he loved you he would have not at least tried to see you once in those 9 years?
Scott|Wth Posted May 22, 2011 Author Posted May 22, 2011 he did try to see me and i did see him once early on in the years. but the courts stopped him allowing to see me and wasnt allowed to know my adress, my school etc. etc. and neither were other family members on my dads side of the family. but he's kept alot of pictures of me and my sister and early school things. he gets about 3 letters a year from my mum but he cant reply to them. besides its not like he closed the door in my face kind of thing.

Grifte Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Why were u now allowed to see him, and earlier not? :o
Marc|Criti Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Why were u now allowed to see him, and earlier not? :o coz he 18 lol
Scoobies Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Lol, first time seeing your dad in 9 years and drunk. reminds me when i was high on easter :D
Scott|Wth Posted May 22, 2011 Author Posted May 22, 2011 my mum and dad had a bit of a violent past so she cant be blamed for not trying to help him get access to me. and when i was about 12 i said myself i dont want contact. the thing is ive had 9 years to have these thoughts grow through my mind and naturally i remember things as worse as they may have been.
Cal Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Good that you're back in touch with him This, happy for u mate
