G-Falo Son Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Ok now I don't like rats but come on, these are mice. I think I wanna mouse now =[ I personally think this guy who did this need to be fed to aligators. Now I know its the food chain but I still think its messed up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GydyA_cVJNA

Octavarium Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 I don't know what you're saying, I want a snapping turtle. Mice/rats are just the food that you use for every "exotic" pets it seems.
I C0NN0R I Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 stupid fucking rats/mice, hate em. Something about watching a live animal being torn in half so easily is morbidly fascinating.
gfdgfd Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Yeah rats are used as food but any humane person would feed them dead ones. My brother has a few snakes and he feeds them mice but he's not a bellend so he doesn't use live ones.
Octavarium Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 I was led to believe that animals would prefer live mice... plus you normally don't feed them every single day. You're trying to maintain nature, just in a cage, in your house. I saw it as a display of how credible the snapping turtle is. If it was to stumble upon any other creature in the wild the only difference is that you are not feeding it. So why don't people feel empathy towards prey in nature? Why is it only a concern when a person gives a live mouse to a pet? I'd be more concerned with the amount of people dying daily in much more savage mannerisms that this.
HADUKEN Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 sad but LOLOLOLOLOLOLOOL at 2:32 trying to swim away with half ot its body LOLOLOLOL That got me too, it blew my mind away This. but, still. he was tearing them apart and some of them were still alive with mass parts of their neck/body missing. it's cruel, shoulda killed them humanely then fed the turtle. fucking prick.
Octavarium Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Is it really the ripping up of a live animal that people seem to be o worried about? You should notice that that is how they eat most things. They break it up. Maybe we should give the turtle a knife and fork so it can cut it's food it more managable pieces in a civilised manner. It really isn't any different as to when a pack of lions storm on a buffalo. It looks savage, I wouldn't eat like that but it has to get done. Either way the mouse dies, and with half a body missing you should swim faster. I will get a snaping turtle and feed it whatever he wants.
d72 Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Alligator snapping turtles are fucking badass, but yeah, I cringed when I watched the video...
Smush Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 It's nature. Deal with it. I hope PETA and Animal Activists see this. Plus the mouse suffered a pretty quick death, it was over in a few seconds.

Octavarium Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Regardless, that's what fucking happens. They have relatively large mouths but they can't just swallow shit whole. Yes, it rips the mice apart, yes they're swimming about all bloody, but in the end it is lunch for mr turtle. I'm quite certain that half the cows in slaughterhouses endure shit for longer periods of time than these mouse but you don't shout at your mum when she brings you a steak. you munch on that motherfucker.

I'd rather let them do their own shit in the privacy of the wilderness, not in my fucking living room...
d72 Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Everybody shh First off, yeah, it's feeding time for the turtle. Regardless of whether or not the mouse or mice are living it's a standard food for most animals and pets to eat living things. For example, up here in pet stores snakes and some lizards are fed newborn mice that are still alive (I watched the person feed them not too long ago). Really, what's the difference between somebody who feeds a lizard a live cricket or insect, as opposed to somebody feeding a carnivorous pet with a different diet? I'm guessing you go bleeding heart and soul for the crickets and insects as well? And what happens if you have a rodent problem within your house? I highly doubt that you'd live with the rodents and either A, set a mouse trap or B, call an exterminator. Stop being hypocritical and deal with it. Yet, at the same time, I think it's disgusting that the person who posted the video decided to take the initiative to create a comical video out of it. Although the feeding process of the turtle is scientific and incredibly interesting to say the least what I really hate is how the individual is exploiting the turtle for a sadistic entertainment value.

I'd rather the turtle do it in the wild where the mouse has a chance to live instead of being dropped in a death trap with no chance at all. I could care a less its scientific or not. In the wild they can get the old mouse and its their time to go. I would grab this kid and shove his dick in the tank and let him take his chances with no way to get away. Now that would be comical to me. =D
X0 Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Stop crying lmao humans test medicines on rats/mice .. this is just nature imo.
Octavarium Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 The thing is though, I found it quite amusing. It reminded me of the scene in Jurassic Park when there's two tyrannosaurus rexes and they rip the man apart. Except it isn't two tyrannosaurus rexes this time, it's just a singular beast of a turtle. Or Hulk Hogan ripping off his vest. Also nature documentaries and such captivate me, so it's not any worse than I haven't seen already. I'm not sure what you'll think of this... Pinky mice are newborn mice that have not yet grown fur. So they're defenceless, yet alive. Common pet food for carnivores however. W67W50cJYqw I'd rather the turtle do it in the wild where the mouse has a chance to live instead of being dropped in a death trap with no chance at all. I could care a less its scientific or not. They eat pretty much anything they want, whatever meat they come across. They've even eaten aligators and other turtles! I want one.

No it wasn't... the mouse fucking swam for like 30 seconds while it was bitten in half... Meh. Seconds nonetheless. People, don't complain about this kind of stuff. It's petty. The only thing I would condone in this video was the guy filming it for amusement. It's the circle of life. If you're on the bottom of the food chain, then good luck.
gfdgfd Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 THAT LITTLE RAT LOOKING THING JUST GOT ATE Damn nature, you scary
