Tom (Rendition) Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 My mates say I have spider legs. My girlfriend says I have sparrow legs. Anyways, gonna start exercising my legs a bit more, I have a few thigh exercises already. Can anybody give me a couple of calf exercises? Anddddd If I exercise my arms, I will feel it alot the next day. But if I do stomach exercises, I never feel it the next day (even if I'm killing myself at the time I'm doing it), why is this?
Tango_Oscar Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 different variations of calf raises, donkey, seated, standing. Google them its not difficult. and your muscles are made up of fibres. Slow and fast twitch fibres to be exact. Your abs will recover very quickly, same as your biceps etc whereas hamstrings, triceps, chest etc take longer to recover. slow/fast twitch muscle composition is different from person to person, so different people recover different muscles at different speeds

Eric Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 all i've been doing for calvs are "raises" i know thats probably not the technical term but thats the best way i see to describe it.. i stand at my bottom stair and hug a 33lb plate and hang my heels off the edge and just slowly raise and lower my body with just my calfs.. in like 2 weeks i can already see HUGE results.. i have bird legs too man, and i'm planning on getting my left calf tatted in the next 2 weeks, so i'm trying to bulk em up as much as possible before i do that..
