katalyst Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Alright pretty much this is what happened. I was playing for uh about 20 minutesish and all of a sudden i start to lag reallllly bad. Which is completely unexpected because i have a pretty decent computer and well it never lagged before, even running multiple things at once. So upon a little further investigation I noticed that my video driver decided to go "Poof" on me. (Restarted my computer and it was in 800x600 resolution compared to 1600x900). No biggy just redownloaded it and got my screen back to looking normal. Figured this would fix runescape to. Log back in. Everything runs perfect. Not a frame slowed down, for about 2 minutes. Then this fucked up lag comes back. Figure it's java, so i reinstall java in the newest updated version. Log back in. Frame rate is perfect a minute later i can't click on shit i'm lagging so bad. I try playing on IE, nope same shit. Restarted my computer again, except this time i was looking for a spike in computer activity. When the lag hit my computer activity was the same. Uhh anyone have any fucking clue whats going on. I know it has something to do with how my computer is dealing with it, not my internet.

ViBeZz Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 You probably have a botnet or something, it makes your CPU sky high causing your computer to lag/crash (I think, I remember off private servers and such)

Sefket Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 What do you mean in specifically? Edit : I didn't notice it was 2 pages. Do you have a picture so I can see what I can help with? Like what happens after 2 minutes of playing Runescape then "Boom" something happens. Did you try clearing your cookies, and temporary files? Use CCleaner. Also, did you update your Microsoft .Net?
katalyst Posted July 20, 2009 Author Posted July 20, 2009 like pretty much what happens is i'll be playing with perfect fps for around a minute or so. then i'll just like click or rotate the camera or anything and i'll drop to like 5-10 fps. My computer load doesn't change at all. It chills around 30-50% depending on what else i have running. This shouldn't be happening lol.
katalyst Posted July 20, 2009 Author Posted July 20, 2009 and thanks sick finally someone who can actually help maybe lol.
99 Mage Irl Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 i would say the problem is runescape were you in an Aussie world? they tend to lag a bit
