Ok so I've played soccer (Football for euro's) For around 13 years, I've played in one of the top teams for my age group and represented my state on numerous occasions, I gave up soccer last year to buckle down and study hard for my last year of high school to get into a good university, since then I've no where near trained as hard as I use to.. I use to run daily and go to the gym 5 days a week with one of my old teams fitness trainers, I guess the real reason I was so fit was simply because I had somebody pushing me every day to do it.. since I don't play for my state/local club I don't have anybody to really tell me "Let's go and do it" so I've found it hard to keep motivated. I'm definitely not fat, far from it but I've just been feeling sluggish lately which has made me feel shitty.

Just wondering if any of you guys have lost motivation after being fit for so long and just couldn't be fucked with the proper dieting or everyday exercising after a while, and how you got back into being motivated to do so again..

Tl;dr:

-What got you motivated in the first place?

-What keeps you going?

- Any advice?

Thanks for reading, every opinion and reply will be greatly appreciated.

Honestly bro, i think a number of things motivate me to train hard at the gym each day. Firstly, it gives me some kind of natural high after finishing a session of weights/HIIT and also I guess my gf kinda motives me too. Its just become part of my lifestyle and makes me feel full of energy aswell as having health and aesthetic benefits.

Advise would be to get a good routine, set some goals and go from there

All the best m8.
