13 prayer is the best prayer level you can have apart from 95+turmoil, for hitting as high as you can for each combat. The strength levels you lose in return for 31 prayer will give you a lower max hit at w/e combat than 13 prayer and more strength levels. if you get 31, just go get 45/52

Exactly what he said, the tradoff isn't worth it. Unless you are using claws or some other expensive items that you don't want to lose. In that case, I say get 31.

Doesn't really matter. Just depends on what combat level you want. Training to 31 prayer from 13 prayer gives the same bonus hit-wise as getting up strength levels would. But there are different advantages/disadvantages

I say 31, although 45 in my opinion is much more convenient (primarily for overheads). Smite isn't worth it in 1v1, but i'm not sure about in wars.
