gfdgfd Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 right, in the past week this has happened with my ipod: My decent headphones stopped working in 1 ear, then stopped working completely.. I had to go sign on yesterday so I frantically searched for a pair of headphones.. found a pair which worked in 1 ear, so i took those and used them on the bus, halfway through the journey it just stopped working, unless i held it in a certain position.. when I got to the town I had to sign on in, I bought a shitty pair of headphones from a 99p store to use on the way home.. then they stopped working too. I'm not sure if it's just a coincadence, and that my decent headphones were on their way out anyway, then the ones that worked in 1 ear broke because they were basically broken anyway, and then the 99p ones broke because well.. they were 99p, or whether it's my ipod blowing out my headphones, so my question is - is it possible for an ipod to blow headphones, maybe blow its' fuse or something? Not sure what to do about it.

I recommend doing some research on some different equipment, look at user reviews and such. Skull candy makes some good headphones costing around 30-40$ (not sure in Euros) But, i've never heard of an iPod killing off headphones.

Just don't wanna go ahead and buy a new pair and pay a fair amount, only to have the ipod frazzle them.
