If you're more of a high level pure with 20 defence, 75+ attack etc, i'd suggest getting 70 Prayer as it helps alot in training, but if you're the pure who wants to keep as low as possible combat, i'd only get 43/44.

Imo anything above 52 on a pure is a waste.

This, unless there is a new update that makes prayer above  52 worthwhile. Till then, your level prayer should be based on what combat level you want to fight in and what fighting style you choose.
