I love it!  9/10, because I think it could be even better than it already is.  Maybe if those are black d'hide chaps, add some scales to them.  Not sure how you'd do it, maybe go in there with a very fine brush and draw tiny ovals then shade around them with gray, all up to you. 

For the text: Maybe make the text all out of leaves or ferns or other shrubbery that goes along with the forest ^_^ I know you said you wanted to keep Cholesterol's version, but maybe you could just try it out under a different file :)
