ChunKy Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Edit.. Because people have no idea what I am talking about: I use a operating system called ubuntu 11.04. NOT WINDOWS 7. I deleted WINDOWS 7 from my computer and run Ubuntu. I prefer it much more over windows but I have a problem.. To download swiftkit they have no Linux download (which means they only have downloads that work for windows). I know there are other IRC clients but the only one i know is mIRC. And mIRC has only a windows download..
Sefket Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 You're asking if you can use SwiftKit but then you say it doesn't have a download for your computer. I'm confused.
Flex Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 But is it possible to use swiftkit for IRC? Or is there another program where I can enter the #finalownage IRC without swiftkit. Im asking this because Swiftkit doesent offer a download for Linux users like my self. i think u just answered you're own question. Try using mIrc
Life To Dds Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 i am really clueless here lol explain some more
FearMy Def Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 You're asking if you can use SwiftKit but then you say it doesn't have a download for your computer. I'm confused.
Octavarium Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Swiftkit will never be available on linux as it's programmed in visual BASIC... gf.
Sopuli Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 You're asking if you can use SwiftKit but then you say it doesn't have a download for your computer. I'm confused. yet he asks if there's any other option to enter IRC, don't be a dick for him Sefket.. try downloading mIRC or using browser irc, just google ''web irc linux'' or something.
ChunKy Posted August 16, 2011 Author Posted August 16, 2011 Ubuntu is a operating system like windows 7 but in my opinion way better. To my knowledge it is not possible to run swiftikit on ubuntu so thats why I was asking if their was any other program to use where I could enter the IRC channel without having swiftkit.
Octavarium Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 ye, we know what it is. We answered the question. use PuTTY

Octavarium Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Swiftkit > mIRC use mirc+rs client. sk is for 2k9 sad prod nerds You are both stupid as fuck. mIRC on Linux Sorry but mIRC only runs on the Windows operating system, so it will not work on Linux. There are no plans to make a version of mIRC that will work on Linux at this time. Hence the whole fucking discussion.
Octavarium Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Pete are you fucking serious? USE PUTTY AND LOCK THIS TOPIC. I HAVE SOLVED IT FUCKING FUCK'S SAKE.
