Scott|Wth Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Ok, so in the last 2 days I've needed to recover my account twice already. Somehow someone keeps managing to either recover my account or know what I changed y password too. So far nothing has been taken from the account thanks to a bank in, however they got me 10 defence exp so far :@! So yeah, this is starting to get annoying and I'm a little worried about my account being ruined. So i'm open to anything and everything anyone has to say that could help :) Thanks
M1ni Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 You probably got a keylogger, so go change your password on a different computer. For your information, if you bought that account, you are well fucked because the original owner will always be able to recover; in that case, transfer stuff to a mule account after scanning your computer.
Archryda Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Transfer your stuff off the account just incase.
Scott|Wth Posted September 2, 2011 Author Posted September 2, 2011 Urgh.. Someone changed my password while I was logged in, had my chaotic maul and around 300k in items on it. I didn't buy this account, I've had it since it was made. but Yeah I'm going to change my password on another computer thanks.

ph0ne Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Best option is to completely wipe and reinstall the operating system. secondary would be Malwarebytes. http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_pro download the trial and scan PC. it also notifies any coming and going trafic that's communicating with programs Another thing could be that hacker has access to your email. only way he can keep hacking you after you've wiped everything. GL.
Stalde Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Apparently own3d.com is hacking people no its ownE3d.tv thats a java driveby site own3d.tv is legit lol
Dannhyz Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Looks like a keylogger.. Easy to win: Use your screenkeyboard to fill in your username and password and change it using the screenkeyboard.
Scott|Wth Posted September 3, 2011 Author Posted September 3, 2011 Thanks for the advise guys, made a new email on a different computer registered that email completely scanned my laptop using the malwarebytes and McAfee got new recov questions and using the new email adress, 7 days for the pin to be deleted so the only risk is the hacker training defence, which they've gotten from 1-4 so far. Honestly not that bothered about the defense, the more annoying thing is the fact that I'll need to make a new account to re join FOE on if they get it too high. Going to make an inactive topic because I dont want to take any items out of the bank while my account is un safe and in turn wont be able to be active. Going to watch my account for the next few weeks to see if the password is changed again at all and if it does get changed I'll simply recover the account on a daily basis and reset the wait for the bank pin to be removed. It's only a 15min process so it's not much of a hassel ^_^ FMI, what's ratted :)?

What M1ni said. @Scott - if you need assistance, hit me up in IRC.
Teh Combos Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Keylogger. Transfer your items now before you get fucked over like I did. Use a different computer to change your password.
Godspk Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Ctrl + alt + delete Go to users. If there is 2 Users there instead of 1. Then ur Rat'd and a Rat is - Remote Adminstrator Tool. And if u are rat'd he can see ur screen he can do w/e he wants he can deactivate ur keyboard ur mouse in fights etc. Basicly he sees ur screen and has commands to do w/e he want. Now if there is indeed 2 users on there u gotta right click and click ban or logg him out or sum. Idk how it is cause i've never been keylogged/ Rat'd but my friend has been and he banned the guy that rat'd him perm from his computer. U should know your own computer name. If not just google it or youtube it. Hope i helped Gl getting rid of that fucker.
TJ Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Talk to sly, he might be able to help if its a rat/keylogger
