Gareth l Rare Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Right so im going to be going UNI tomorrow for induction as i was supposed to do it today >fail> Start monday which means ill be getting UNI grant around wednesday/thursday :cute: Right, so ill be playing on my tank BlG MAN (bLg man) if anyone wants to add, deleted friends list so foreveralone And think i'm going to start hybrid pking mage and range... problem is i havent hybrid pked since 2005 were it took everyone like 40seconds to swap into mage gear and barrage instead of 3second switches you get today :wub:Will be playing on s0 rare again when i get everything sorted and likely join FOE  Which brings me to the main questionWhats a good laptop to getRemember i need something which is light, small ish as i will be travelling on bus/train to UNI daily... most likely but powerful to play RS, LoL, Edit Adobe After Effects + Sony Vegas and photoshop (maybe cs4 if possible/ if not cs3 is fine) Looking to spend around 500 quid but will pay more if its worth it Live in the UK so genually i want it ASAP so no shipping half way across the world INB4 GO PC WORLD OR ANY BULLSHIT :icon2f:Or thinking of paying few hundred to get my current laptop fixed and upgraded? Then spend few hundred getting laptop purposely for UNI which would actually be more appropriate but then whats the reasonable specs for gaming? Memory/RAM/GFX card :kanye: So if anyone is willing to teach me in DA it would be much appreciated wut teh fook u n3va hybridz b4? newb! Well i dont call 1item switching d scimie>dds>rcb>water battle staff hybriding as common roids can even do that without using a auto switcher :shifty: lol na chris is a nice bloke i just like to tease him G.

Waqas Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Maybe build your own pc easier better and affordable :D
gfdgfd Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Maybe build your own pc easier better and affordable :D Yeah cause he's gonna carry a desktop to uni everyday. Gareth - add 'im a dog m8' and on the laptop, dunno, I just got one from my mum's littlewoods catalogue cause i can pay over time and it's fairly decent, really light too, dunno though - any laptop with 2-4GB of ram'll do really.
Tris Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 http://www.studentcomputers.co.uk/HP_Pavilion_DV3-2310ea_Laptop_-_Refurbis_1404283.html Not too bad I guess. http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/Acer_Aspire_5742G_1070068.html Good for value, probably a good deal.

ph0ne Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 any laptop with Geforce GT300M+ series will never lagg on RSHD. Go for atleast 4GB ram dependant on what you're doing, if you're rendering C4D/AAE with light studios then the better ram and clock of the CPU the better, gl what Tris said http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/Acer_Aspire_5742G_1070068.html Good for value, probably a good deal. thats really good for the price it is tbh

Mortuls Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 lol i thought u'd say ur quitting due to uni, but joining foe and all sorts, brave move :p although u prolly will have a lot of time on ur hands after lectures (depending on ur subject chosen) in terms of laptops, many uni students get Macs, but if your gaming and want a decent laptop to do work on then i recommended a toshiba, anything 450 quid plus will be fine.
Teeky Pk Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Hmmm get something over 4gb ram / with 1gb+ graphic card for foe trips ;o
Dannhyz Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Maybe build your own pc easier better and affordable :D hahahaha u r so retarded

gfdgfd Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Why are people reccomending acers? acers are the BIGGEST pile of wank ever, trust me, I had acers from bright house brand new and they were absolute wank so I cancelled the agreement.
