My Goal To Lose Weight v2!

Adam

Recommended Posts

Well last week I decided to go to the food store, and pick up anything healthy for me to eat for my diet. I posted a topic few weeks ago about how I want to drop a lot of weight, and for the first time in my life I feel very motivated in doing it after reading Walli's topics lol.

Anyway so this is what I have done past week:

Wake up at 9 am:

1. EAT BREAKFAST

(Morning Meal Plans that I switch up every day)

- Make 3 scrambled eggs, 1 piece of toast, glass of orange juice, and drink bottle of water

- Two bags of oat meal, 1 piece of toast, glass of orange juice, and drink bottle of water

- Bowl of special K cereal, Fat free milk, glass of orange juice, and drink bottle of water

2. Head to my first class at around 11:00 AM

Lunch Time

1. Second I come home from class I run around the block, which is about a 10-15minute jog

2. I Eat Lunch

(Lunch Meal Plans that I switch up every day)

- Bowl of salad with, tomatoes, cucumbers, croutons, oil and vinegar dressing, and bottle of water

- 1 Bag of Rice, with cooked chopped peppers, and 1 piece of chopped grilled chicken, and bottle of water

- Tuna sandwich, little low fat mayo, 2 slices of wheat bread, and bottle of water

3. Head to my second class at around 3:30PM

Mid Afternoon 5PM

1. I get home from class drink bottle of water, and grab 2-3 mints.

2. Pick up my sister from work at around 6:30PM

Night Time

1. I Eat Dinner

(Dinner Meal Plans that I switch up every day)

- Whole Grain Pasta, cut up grilled chicken, cooked peppers, and some kind of vegie with bottle of water

- Baked potato, creamed spinach, corn, and some kind of meat with bottle of water

- Two Bags of rice, broccoli, and bottle of water (Little salad if still hungry)

- If I got out with my family I get a turkey club sandwich, baked potato, bowl of soup, and diet ice tea

2. I Run around the block 2-4 times, which takes about 30minutes

3. I come home and do: 30 Sit ups, 50 Jumping jacks, and few exercises with the weights I have ( I repeat it if not feeling lazy)

4. Drink bottle of water

Late Night Time

1. Eat some mints/chew gum, and try to finish another bottle of water

2. Play some runescape

3. Go to bed :)

I plan on buying some vitamins this weekend, and buy a gym membership in few weeks if I keep up with everything above.

Ok, but be competative with yourself.  Aim to beat your previous time everyday.  I hate it when I see joggers wobbling along, barely breaking a sweat.  If you don't feel like drpping to your knees by the end of your run, you are doing it wrong.

Why don't you make a log?

Looks good mate, but yeah like Tom said, log your workouts!

Also i never understand why people buy bottled water, do you not have a tap? :s

I'm guessing your not a runner lol, shorter fast runs to get faster, long runs to get used jogging for a long time to get stamina.

First off I'd like to say that even though jogging can be great way to lose weight you might want to look in joining the gym.  A gym usually offers a variety of cardio and you can mix it up with some HIIT rather then a straight same jog path day after day.  Weights and machines can also play a huge role in weight loss, especially compound lifts as you hit a lot of areas of the body. Adapting to the gym and finding a routine while losing weight can greatly help as you'll learn and feel confident around the equipment if you had to choose to bulk after losing weight.

If the gym is not an option for you then I highly recommend mixing your cardio up! Jog a variety of paths, perform HIIT on a field or track and UP the mileage or intensity every now and then.  If you have a set of dumbbells at home then research some workout routines online and incorporate that with your cardio, bodybuilding.com and muscleandstrength.com are a great place to start reading.  However I'd highly recommend the gym just mainly for the atmosphere and equipment available.  The atmosphere for some reason plays a big part for me in wanting to push myself.

As for your diet have you figured out your calorie maintenance intake? There are  many sites with calculators that can do this.  Make sure you eat at least at a 500 calorie deficit of this number, preferably more say at a 1000 calorie deficit.  You may want to start the day with a cup of coffee as its a great way of kick starting your metabolism.  Also make sure you are consuming a decent amount of protein as protein helps maintain lean muscle while it also promotes the burning of fat for fuel.  Protein also aids speeding up the metobalism.  Make sure your moderate your carb and fat intake and be sure to drink a lot of water.  As for eating mints and chewing gum I see it pointless, I'd rather see you eating an apple or having a low carb/fat protein shake.

3 eggs for breakfast?

I'm pretty sure it's not good to have more then two (daily)

na over 4 egg yokes is probs pushing it, 3 is fine.

gj Tris/Cubano.

main point - eat 500-1k less than maintenance!

just scoop the yokes out. whites r fine :)

what's wrong with the yokes? other than the fat

nwt thats it, bloat u as well but w.e

There's always a stigma that surrounds egg yokes, they are the best part of the egg!

They contain all the best nutrients and vitamins in the egg, I don't see why I can't eat 6 in a row.

The only downside with eggs is the gas, but meh.
