While you may be correct about any type of 'ban wave' that people are worried about, you mention nothing about them 'breaking' the botting clients themselves? (Which was again specifically stated on the front page and by various J Mods on the forums). Threatening to 'break' the clients and stop them working isn't going to work, because we'll all log on after the update and at some point try to bot.

Also, this type of 'threat' will only affect those of us with sentimental attachments to our accounts. For example I for one wont bot untill I know for certain what the situation is because I only bot one account that I also play.

However, a gold farmer who's accounts are only there as a means to earn money doesn't care how many accounts they go through, because they simply start new ones and repeat the process. Gold farmers will continue to bot regardless of any 'threat' because it is a source of income, not something they have an attachment to emotionally, thus negating any worry about any threat of losing their accounts.

Here is what I think will happen.

Reflection bots will not work for anywhere from a few days-a few months because jagex obviously has the power to stop them from working (at least for a bit).

Then, one of two things will happen.

The reflection could end up being restored and bots will be up and running and just have a high ban rate for a while.

Or the "reflection style" bots will be forever lost and the botting community will figure out how to play this mind numbing game without actually having to play it.

Either way I never see Jagex being able to stop bots for good if training a skill remains just as easy as mindlessly click and drag.

i believe that post tbh, jagex arn't smart enough to catch the real botters

Real.

They've said in the past that they will NEVER stop ALL of the bots, and their main goal is to stop RWT'ers, not casual botters like FOE members or random lv80 mains.

& that's exactly what they're doing

They just phrased it in a way that can be seen as a threat to people like FOE members and random lv80 mains.

I hope they reduce the bot population by a lot and can only hope it stays that way for at least a few months if not longer
