Dannhyz Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 So they send this email to everybody who botted instead of banning them straight away? How long did they know we botted etc? Strange shit tbh
Octavarium Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 So they send this email to everybody who botted instead of banning them straight away? How long did they know we botted etc? Strange shit tbh because banning immediately loses them money... can you not think at all?

Chad Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 Funny even player moderators were saying they tried to sue a whole bunch of people under those laws/violation code thing w/e shits and they said jagex failed each time and it never worked. You can bet I'll be botting the first chance I get on ALL of my accounts.

nosympathy Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 I still see this really as a laughing joke. & I give it a week before the servers are full of bots again.
Dravid Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 This is pretty stupid, a case basically to scare the weak. Jagex cannot sue your for botting, there is no way they can calculate the fact that you are botting since many people do play runescape for 24+ hours. For a court case to go through they would need video proof and i doubt they would spend $1.6k round trip per person to record a video for a case of 2.5k. The way they have determined emails is also illegal since they vowed to not use credit card info/ pp info so basically if you get an email and u have never registered your email then you could counter sue for infringement of personal rights. Also the fact that this case only raises the authority of America is biased and the fact that Jagex is a UK based company only makes it worse. I highly doubt the international court would give a fuck about 13-18 yr olds macroing over a online game, doubt jagex even have the balls to bring it to that level. All in all, this is just a scare tactic and it holds no important.
