They are a disgrace to the pure community. You can't go to a mini without finding some main with 35 defence and a Body Body. They are fucking pointless, and should be considered what they are " Mains. " I had turmoil as a 30 def pure, and it was stupid the advantage it provided over other players. I give it 3 months before we accept 40 def as pure.

Tris Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 This topic always causes pointless arguments, game changes = clan changes. 20 defense was once looked upon the same way as turmoil is now yet people moved on. Game items, changes and updates have only been partially to blame for how the pure community stands today. Honor has totally gone down the drain within the community, its acceptable to pray, pj and in some clans tele. Compare today's pking scene back to 06/07 where personally I believe the majority of Runescape PVP was 'honorable', at least clans were up till a point. The also shear amount of pure accounts that also exist compared to how many pures there were back in the day has dramatically increased, most of the new pure generation don't know anything else but 'no honor'. In the end however it is just a game and updates/changes ARE going to bring changes throughout the game's community.

Being 1 defence has always been boring, turmoil spices it up. Turmoil pures, are the happy median between 1 defence pures and 40-45 defence pures. The question you all should ask yourself is "Why shouldn't it be considered a 'pure'? " My views on what a pure is is: The lowest possible combat level, with the highest possible offensive bonuses. I do think you draw a theoretical line between what is allowed in the "pure community clan base"(like FOE), and what isn't though. My opinion on that is 33 defence is a no longer what is allowed in the clan base; where you draw the line. Pure means many different things, for many different people. Saying that only 1 defence pures are THE ONLY PURES, is arrogant. Who made you the decider of who's a pure and who's not? Remember what I said? "The lowest possible combat level, with the highest possible offensive bonuses." So lets say someone is a maxed "Rune Pure" then with my logic they would be correct. This argument will never come to a complete stop, and making a topic like this doesn't help/solve anything. In the end, it's a fucking game...
