They don't do it to "feel tough behind the screen", they do it to send a message to big companies like Facebook that selling private information wont be tolerated. If this actually happens then the point behind it is to get them to stop selling details to third parties, and it'll work. And as Gareth said supposedly the operation was stopped because the majority weren't backing it. ATM the gov have all info about you, are able to track you through GPS and trase you wer ever you run. "BIG BROTHER" is so dominant in this day and age and you dont think that is a bad thing?
