DeltaPapa Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Question 1) What is lean meat? Like i know what a chicken is, but what is lean chicken? Question 2) Eating same foods. Can i eat same foods every day? Just change the kind of 'Dinner' meal to fish, meat, whatever, but keep other smaller meals the same? (planning on having 6 meals a day) Question 3) Whats 5/3/1? (nothing to do with dieting) Nvm guess its workout plan/routine Thank you
gfdgfd Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 1. Meat with very little to no fat on it. 2. Yeah, go for it, eat plain chicken breast with broccolli everyday if you must, it's not about what the food is, it's about it's nutritional values, just make sure you get your macros. 3. No idea, sorry, I assume it's some sort of workout split

Tris Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Usually I buy prime/lean cut meat from the supermarket so I know its lean; looking at the nutritional information and comparing the fat to meat weight is another way. Also if you look at chicken breast you can see when there's a large amount of fat on it, same with a piece of steak.
Steroids Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 lean meats are usually anything other than red meat unless the red meat specificly states otherwise. if u have a perfect diet then eating the same meals everyday is great. the only problem is that some peope get bored of it, if you're one of those people, look for ideas on changing it up.
Tango_Oscar Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 When chicken gets bored of standing up all day, it then leans on a wall to rest his legs slightly, this can be said as a lean(ing) chicken. 531 is when you do 5 sets of 31 reps. and no just eat peanut butter and almond butter for every meal

Adam|Spakka Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 you can usually tell how lean meat is by looking at what the meat is (chicken, beef etc) and what sort of cut it is (the bodypart of the animal/how it's cut), then googling it. Also if you get your meat from a local butcher (usually cheapest option) they should be able to help you out with any issues concerning the leanness of any certain cut of a meat. also if you're looking to stick to the same meals everyday you wanna be careful with things like tuna (mercury) and eggs (not sure why, but people say you shouldn't eat too many eggs, i do like 10-15 egg omelettes though and i've never had any problems)
