Problems with my knees

Ok so I've been having problems with my knees for years and years now, basically they sometimes become a little stiff and painful, it's been stopping me running properly, I used to be a 100m and 200m sprinter and also I wasn't bad at long jump and high jump (I have long legs so that helps :P). I have been to a physio and they said i have hyper extending knees, basically they bend far too much in the direction they shouldn't bend and they do bend pretty far.

They should i should strengthen my the muscles around my knees, so I did but it didn't do anything and my legs are pretty strong anyway because i cycle a lot, i did rugby for 7 years and i currently train in mok gar kuen kungfu. Recently I've tried yoga things like the position where you sit on your knees, it's a pretty standard way of sitting actually, but I hadn't been made to sit on the floor in 6 years so i couldnt do it at first, i cant sit on them now but it gets painful after a short time, anyhow this has helped my knees quite a lot. But they still aren't great

So i was wondering if anyone knows of ways to remedy this?

Thanks in advance!

inb4 stay off your knees

my knees were kind of messed for a while but that was because I always sat on my knees when on the computer/watching tv, eventually i just changed my position and they got better. was there some bad posture or something you were doing for years prior to this or were they just hurting out of nowhere?

My knees arent hurting since ive been sitting on them, sitting on them was a yoga exercise i was reccommended to do and it helped lots, they have hurt for years i dont remember when it started, as i said the physio said it was partly down to my hyper extending joints in my knees.

^ lose weight and train legs lightly, light full rom legpress, it genuinely does help. just strengthening the knee joints. dont do leg extensions or anything like that though. also dont let knee go over toe when ur doing the press lol. my knees were weak when i used to fucking hammer rs and b4 i started training.

I got fucked up knees, can't kneel for more than 30-60 seconds without being in complete pain. I grew too fast, and it gave me bone spurts or some shit. Also fucks me up when running, I try to run a lot, but my knees always stop me short.

Maybe you took an arrow in the knee, try doing some guard duty, that will help
