Occupy Movement

Lol the media is now controlling me? Marc, the video I showed everyone was not from the media. It's from a pro-occupy movement YouTube channel. It's actually biased FOR the movement. Therefore, your theory on the media controlling me is a nonsensical proposition. I don't even watch the news.

This is based on personal experience, there is an occupy movement very close to me and I actually had a chance to walk down there and see what is was all about. Let me tell you, it's a joke. Does France even have Occupy? I mean this was a US based movement, so I can easily discredit you as an outsider.

You're done.

i didn't watch the vid, and when i watch the news, whenever they talk about the occupy movement, it's all negativity, yet they never say why these guys are protesting.

France doesn't have occupy because french people are soft and lazy, they just go on strike when it's sunny, get a 2$ raise and be happy

being an "outsider" doesn't mean i'm not entitled to enter a debate about the legitimacy of the movement (plus it's not only in the US).

The bottom line is... People are pissed. They don't like the spending that's happening. HELL I'm pissed about it too.

I'm not saying I don't support the protesters, and I'm not saying that I do. What I'm trying to get across is that,

they are going about it all the wrong way. These people need to be educated on what to be mad about.

You can't pitch a tent in a park, and yell "Screw the man!" It doesn't work that way...

Rule of thumb, and pretty of obvious:

Know what your cause is before you try to protest.

If you did research you would understand that our Gov(US) spends A LOT of money on "National Defense"

Now, these might not be completely accurate charts,

but they give a rough estimate of what we are dealing with.

And are they most accurate charts I could acquire,

on government spending.

Hold that thought

If they attack we wouldn't be in debt anymore...

So it would be very unwise to attack the most powerful country in the world.

You should also realise that America had their prime time for as far as I learnt in 20th century whereas China and Japan are coming up and through right now. I had an exchange with 5 japanse people in the age of 16-18 and they had to sport at least 2hours a day and study the rest of the time. They don't get enough sleep as they have to study, their parents drill them to become succesful, their parents kill their daughters shamelessly as they are desperate for a son who has far more potential to become influential.

That's how China and Japan habit. They have motivation to reach the top. You Americans and we Europeans, Dutch in general for me, don't have a single piece of motivation in us cause everything just comes along. I'm taking my a-levels (think that's english term), it's supposed to be the hardest possible diploma yet I can overrun teacher by talking to them giving me an A instead of a B, for example. Now that's where China is different from us and not only that point, but in everything they do. China will rule the world in a few deccenia, not America.

On topic of occupy: I've been told that the Dutch occupy people opened a bank thing we can store money on. That makes no sense at all and destroys their whole point, doesn't it?

Besides that, the Dutch occupy are lazy people that just want to take the few days off, and unemployed students. Besides that group the last people I would categorize for us Dutch occupy ppl is tramps, they make free food for sitting around doing nothing. That's actually what they used to do but now they get free food.

I think Occupy is a good thing, set up by the most potential group of people, but then the people that want to gain from other's work came along and destroyed it all. For us Dutch people Occupy has no meaning anymore.
