Do it swag Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Sup FOE ive been working out for years due to sports etc. But ive been consistnatly "body building" and weight lifting for muscle for the past 7 months 3-5 days a week depending on schedule. Im wondering if you guys could help me with my bulking. Im on a bulk stage im eating 3000 calories a day 600 past my maintenance level. anyway when i train i do 3-5 sets 8-12 reps for pretty much all my exercises except legs i do 12-15 for them. am i doing it right? im only 15 years old ive gotten advice from some people i know who train and ofcourse knowledged books, websites, and things but i wanted other opinions. thanks

Steroids Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 doing a split routine? make sure to be doing a good 5 exercises for the big muscle groups such a back/chest/legs. ur rep ratio is fine but certain exercises / parts of muscle groups greatly benefit from more intensive sets, e.g. in the 4-8 rep ratio. google search that and if u can't find them pm me.

Bench as an example: 30*7 30*7 (Warm up sets, a weight you can breeze through, but enough so that your first proper set isn't a shock to you) 50*4/5 60*4/5 70*4/5 80*4/5 (This set should be 10-15% off your 1 rep max, you should really really be struggling.) 60*8-10 (2 Burn sets in order to really get your pump on.) 60*8-10

I usually workout 4 times a week sometimes 5 if i have that extra day free.. Day 1 Monday: Chest, Shoulders, Traps Day 2 Tuesday: Back Day 3 Thursday: Biceps, Triceps Day 4 Saturday: Legs I am sorta neglecting abs because since im on a bulk i figured i cant see them anyway but once im done bulking ill hit them more often unless im screwing my routine up.

Tango_Oscar Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Uve got 4 days to train, dont train shoulders and chest because they both rape your front delts. Back/chest legs shoulders/traps biceps/triceps or back/triceps shoulders/traps legs chest/biceps i always swore by the 2nd one.
