Tom (Rendition) Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 What is that supplement you use to decrease recovery time? I think I may buy some.
Reevesy Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 train more often and ur body adjusts and recovers faster.
Tom (Rendition) Posted January 16, 2012 Author Posted January 16, 2012 train more often and ur body adjusts and recovers faster. I do some form of exercise 6 out of 7 days a week, but my body feels run down most days and it pisses me off.
Ikz Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 no comforter...no pillows....no sheets.....worst rest ever.
Tango_Oscar Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Erm glutamine is supposed to decrease recovery time, many products claim to reduce recovery time. Eating enough food and getting enough rest is the best you can do really. Do you have a manual job? and why train 6 days out of 7? Maybe try training just 5 days, and having an extra rest day mid week. Things like deca dura get your recovery rate down that much that your body recovers that fast that you can train it hard everyday. As reevesy said, your body should naturally adapt. I think you aren't eating/resting enough by the sounds of it
Kody Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 i hope reevesy was trolling you. the best way to recover is rest. you shouldn't be lifting more than 4 days a week ideally.. 5 is the max. sleep, protein, water and nutrients is the best way to recover.. especially sleep!

Steroids Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 DOMS / soreness is not be taken as an indicator of having trained enough / not enough. you can't just defeat the concept of over-training by training even more, not really sure how there is even a debate regarding that.

Kody Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 oh and before you say it, i know "triathlon experts" are claiming that lactic acid is not responsible for post excerise soreness and fatigue. however I believe I will believe in my bio and micro bio professors that broke down in class why it's the main culprit.
Tom (Rendition) Posted January 17, 2012 Author Posted January 17, 2012 I only push weights once a week. MMA is twice a week. Heavy bag one day. swimming one day. Lower body HIIT another day. I know the obvious solution is drop a couple of the days, but apart from the gym day; none of it is crazy intensive and I feel I should be able to sustain what I'm doing without feeling like such a mess every day. I don't sleep enough, and I know that doesn't help, but that is gonna remain that way for the foreseeable future. I eat well most weeks, drink lots of water every week. Back to the question; I thought there was some fish related supplement that a lot of lifters recommend?
