For the last few years ive been on a diet plan my friend game me, although i will admit i haven't been the most strictest when it came to following it thoroughly but thats all about to change.

Over the years my body fat/ muscle bulk has risen and fallen like a yoyo due to diet, laziness, hitting the wall and going fuck it but mostly was down to money issues.

Hard to sustain the healthy foods that were on my friends diet plan when you have £50 for travel, food, clothes, personal expenditure a week. Hence reason why i smoked a lot of weed in the past.

(didnt have a liddles or anything near by, it was a posh area so food prices were fucking high. £5 for chedder cheese fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu)

But this is a new year, cutting out a lot of the bollox and getting focused. When i used to exercise it made me focus on personal and academic things more as well as made me feel better as a person.

I dont smoke cigarettes and i have had a look through other topics and found links to websites i can buy protein powder ect.

Ive lost my current diet plan so if anyone has one which they could share it would be greatly appreciated

Gym> ive visited my local gym im going to join and told them about my operation so few more weeks until they advice me to join so in the mean time im going to stick to my daily push up>sit up routine to keep me focused as well as start jogging now.

Shake/powder how much>what with> HOW DO I TAKE THIS STUFF> WHAT IS IT DOING?

Morning, lunch>dinner>

i have been told to have 4-6 meals a day (although i think that is bulking)

what is bulking>cutting

Fam have told me to start bulking asap, to eat packs of beef jerky when hungry to snack as they have the same amount of protein as a shake although tom said they do but also have a shit load of fat.

so???? wut do

Beef jerky £1> protien shake £££

Also i would say id start going on pasta lunches but then id end up buying tesco pots of pasta and chicken/sausage when id rather cook them myself. Im a banging cook.

Is it advisable to stick to pasta and chicken>ect (what can i have) dishes for lunch every day/ how can i mix it up so i dont get frustrated

tuna>pasta>mayo>backed beans = heaven so thats something i could get used too.

How much protein ect ect is in that.

Am i going to have to start counting calories/protein/fat  intake ect because thats a fucking jar if i have too.

Drinks, i 99% drink water all the time, rarely have fizzy drinks unless it's a treat to myself.

I dont eat sugary snacks, unless given to me for good behaviour by mum

dont often eat chrisp and snacks like that either, i do eat sweeties everyday fizi coala botles my favourite ty

Should i cut down on bread? I often just make sandwiches when i want to snack.

what can i snack on> diet plan>

As you can guess im an average joe when it comes to knowledge about exercise. Push up, sit up, jog all i do so all this is new to me.

This is also party to help luke as well so try be serious.

I am far from an expert but from what I know, which I'm sure I will be corrected.

Eat Eat Eat is key. Whether your bulking or cutting im pretty sure you still want a lot more calories then you are getting right now. I believe protein shake are normally meal replacements as I know mine is 1010 calories. Water and Green tea are essential. Snack every 2 hours or so is what I was told. Can be expensive though.

More than likely wasted your time but my best advice would be get into a routine and that will be your best bet to sticking to it. Try to workout same times everyday and have meals near the same times. Plan your meals ahead of time.

Thanks Jon, going to go back to porridge every morning as i rarely eat breakfast but when i do it makes me feel better for the day.

Should i go holland and barrett and buy protien shakes or get them online + powder

Whats best, mixing my own shakes with powder or getting already made ones

Stop spending your money on weed and stop smoking it.

That will free up some disposable income so you can get a gym membership, buy healthy food, and set your life straight.

I would first start researching exercises and what not. Since you're a beginner you're better off with SS (starting strength) so you can learn the basics and develop a good strength base.

Look at sites such as bodybuilding.com to find out more, read the articles on health, exercise, etc. Consistency is the key, don't tell yourself that you will do this and that tomorrow, start now, today.

As for the smoking weed, uni grant so can have best of both worlds but i ant going to be smoking every night, going to cut down to weekend or something and cutting the drinking to a bare min... Parties and events only

Snack as often as you can , avoid white bread , brown is good . I know weed is good but maintaining a healthy diet is expensive so atleast put your diet before weed . Bodybuilding.com is a good place for noobs like you and i . Tbh i dont even lift but i lurk this site . Hopefully once your hitting the gym and on a healthy diet , your cravings for weed will die down . Go easy on the piss , dont be like deena and snooki !

haha i ant on the lash 24-7 coz im broke and this year ive been good and sustained a chilled mood to drinking durring the week. Maybe crack open a beer with mumsy at night

As for weed craving i dont crave, i just smoke to sleep and chill out. Im suffering from mad insomnia last few months, rarely sleep.

As far as supplements go i'm not the most knowledgeable, but you'd wanna either be taking whey or a bulking powder if you cannot get enough calories,

You mix it into water or milk, probably be better off mixing into milk because it'd get you more calories. What is it doing? giving you more protein and calories.

what is bulking>cutting

Tailoring your workout and diet to either gaining weight, or losing weight, bulking you'd eat above your maintenance in calories(500-1k more), cutting you'd eat below.. the reason you need to bulk and cut is because whilst bulking you gain fat as well as muscle so after whatever amount of time you decide, you'll need to cut away all the fat to be lean.

Should i cut down on bread?

Bread is okay, but make sure if you're eating carbs, they're wholegrain carbs, not starchy carbs. Eat brown bread, not white.. I don't know why, i'm just going by what i've been told.

what can i snack on> diet plan>

If you have meals throughout the day you probably won't need to snack too much but if you have small snacks, idk.. tin of tuna.. idk.. or idk about beef jerky tbh, nutritional info seems really good from what i've read but someone else may have some other info on that..

www.swole.me you put in how many calories you want to eat, how many meals, and what macros[protein fat carbs] - i think like 60:30:10[protein:carbs:fat] would be a good ratio for bulking, i've never bulked before so somebody who has may want to correct me. But yeah that site can generate meals for you based on what macro ratio/how many meals/calories you want.

As people have said, the key is to eat eat eat.. you will need to at least keep an estimate of how many calories etc you are eating, if not count it properly, if you don't eat enough, you won't gain, so you need to make sure you do.

what are the end ressults to doing this

Why cant i just work on upper boddy and leg without all this protien shake mess ect ect

asking as many question as possible to understand what im goign to be doing/why

dont want to spend £150 on all this stuff and not no what im putting in/doing to my body

as far as diet goes i assume you're going to want to put on muscle therefore you must eat more calories than maintenance. dog said a macrontrient ratio which was more based to cut than bulk, bulking is typicaly 35:55:20. protein:carbs:fats.

best thing to do at your level is just to read a lot of articles on bb forums.

Protein Shake: I would always argue that good lean meat is better than protein shake, however protein shakes are cheap quick and easy.  I normally have 30-40g of protein with milk post workout, that's it.

When to eat: I don't think it really matters, 12 stone for your height seems quite heavy.  So low fat, high protein.  Have a reasonable size meal with quite alot of carbs before and after the workout, other then that keep carbs fairly low until you are at a weight that you are happy with. 

Bulking/cutting: Bulking is putting on muscle mass (and maybe a little bit of fat - not intentionally but it happens when you are bulking as you are taking a calorie surplus). Cutting is taking your bodyfat down, making you look more toned.

Your choice whether you want to bulk or cut first, are you more interested in getting your strength up first, or looking like a pretty boy?

bare in mind you can make good strength gains whilst cutting at the beginning.

my spontaneous humour and cheeky kwerkyness get me were i need to go in the long run so cutting to be a pretty boy isnt a big deal for me.

Im a game graphics designer and programer common do the math

I dont care about having, i may regret this, legs like ant0, i just want stamina and upper body muscle

QUESTION

When i exersice i tend to get extremly agressive + horny

like i wana smash my face into a wall and then skullfuck it..... way ive always been since i was a young kid

but am i only one?

it would deffeat the purpose

Cant bong coz that would destroy my froat after a while. Vaporizer would be the answer but £200-£400 for a decent one

If i get like this, anyone no a way i can chill out other than angry wanks
