dont feel comfortable walking away knowing i could have got more reps out

i prefer to see progress in way of weigh increase than rep increase.

e.g. for me i prefer to go from lifting 90kg bench for 4-6 to lifting 100kg for 4-6

than lifting 70kg for 8-10 to lifting 80kg for 8-10 or even say like lifting

80kg for 6 to then being able to do for 10 reps.

i prefer getting the desired gains rather than w.e fun i get out of lifting the weights as i please.

so i lift in the rep ratio that is most beneficial.

w.e u enjoy more ur not gunna stick to anything if you dont enjoy it, know that. im in between i like seeing me add wait onto exercises than do the same reps if not 1 less than lets say 20 lbs more weight.

hmm actually think it depends on the exercise, try to keep form regardless... not 1 of these mugs who throws form out of the window to look like you can lift big

the only exercises that i go for heavy weights/less reps are bench/deadlift/squats

stuff like fly's, curls, dumbell press etc i aim for 10-12 with a little lower in the weight rather then 6 with a heavier
