Jagex is progressing and obviously the appearance of the game will change as technology gets better. Think of it as how sony majorly improved the graphics from ps2 to ps3.

Yeah but this is a visual update which has nothing to do with introducing new content into the game so I don't see why people are hating on it. I can understand if it was some easy quest which introduced a reward that totally fucked pvp even more than it already is. This is just something that makes the game more visually appealing. Jagex is moving foward, nowadays people all about great graphics in games and they have to keep up. Even minecraft doesn't look like blocky shit anymore.
